Mr. Leon Beech CEO of Northlink College was part of the preparation team to the delight of the staff. The preparation team dished 600 warm meals to be delivered at 12.00. The CEO and Mr. Smal, Campus Manager (Northlink Parow) have been instrumental in making this initiative a huge success. Mr. Smal is involved in all aspects of the project and ensures that everything is in place for delivery from 6.00 the morning until the meals are packaged at 11:00. The 600 warm meals were delivered to households on two Phillipi farms on a chilly day (17th April 2020). Mr and Mrs. Zoos and team, community workers from Mitchell’s Plain accompanied Colleen Cozett to Phillipi to deliver the meals. Meals prepared for 600 were delivered today in Phillipi with the help of Mr. and Mrs Zoos & team. The team is well known in the community and have been doing this for 10 years. It was clear that residents are very fond of the team and appreciated the contributions from Northlink College. Mr. Zoos expressed his gratitude for the respectful way in which recipients accepted the meals prepared by the College. Key community members assisted with delivery and in one hour all the meals were delivered. All CODVID19 precautions were adhered to.
