Northlink walks away with top awards at Provincial College Awards Function

The Northlink College students won three of the four Public Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College Provincial Top Achiever Awards that was held at False Bay College on 25 May 2016.

Wendy Nkomo (Top Electrical Engineering N3 student), Clinton Nysken (Top Financial Management N6 student) and Whitney Brown (Top Finance, Economics and Accounting Level 4 NCV student) walked away with the Overall Top NATED Engineering, Overall Top NATED Business Studies and Services and Overall Top NCV Business Studies and Services awards respectfully.

“Northlink College is truly proud of these students and their academic achievements of the past year. These awards are the fruits of their hard work and is a testament of the quality education and training that Northlink and the TVET sector offers,” says Leon Beech Northlink College Principal.

The six Western Cape TVET Colleges annually gives recognition to the top academic achievers of the previous academic year in the various courses that the six colleges have to offer. This year Northlink College students walked away with not only the three top overall awards but also received a total of 10 out of the 32 awards that were on offer. The students that received awards are:
Wendy Nkomo (Top Electrical Engineering N3 student), Waseen Sadan (Top Mechanical Engineering N6 student), Clinton Nysken (Top Financial Management N6 student) Jamey-Lee Hickley (Top Human Resource Management N6 student), Danielle Du Plooy (Top Public Management N6 student), Maxine Cupido (Top Legal Secretary N6 student), Emma Rossouw (Top Clothing Production N6 student), Charisna Gronewald (Top Hospitality and Catering N6 student), Whitney Brown (Top Finance, Economics and Accounting L4 NCV student) and Denjoy Lotz (Top Safety in Society L4 student)
