Northlink College Performing Arts Department presents Once On This Island, musical play by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty based on the novel My love, My love by Rosa Guy.

 

Once On This Island is a Tony Award winning, Caribbean-inspired musical which showcases the struggles of the human race under the smokescreen of devastation. “We are part, part of the human heart.” underpins the notion that love prevails through every adversity and challenges we are confronted with.

 

The musical aims to awaken unity, selflessness and sacrifice with its thought-provoking climaxes and enticing songs like ‘We Dance, ‘Ti Moune’, ‘Pray’ and ‘Mama Will Provide’ to name a few. The show promise nothing short of a spectacle and a voyage to the hidden, magical lands of the Caribbean.

 

Once On This Island will be performed at the Baxter Concert Hall from 10-13 July 2019. Bookings are through Web Tickets (online and at selected Pick n Pay stores) and are now open. Be sure not to miss the South African Premier of this spectacular performance by students. Direction by Kobus Hanekom, Musical Direction by Camillo Lombard and Choreography by Tyron Zoutman.
