Northlink College International Student Day – Celebrating and educating our local and international students

Northlink College Bellville Campus hosted its second annual International Student Day during February 2015 and with the help of this initiative gave students from 11 different countries (including DRC, Angola, Lesotho) a chance to celebrate their heritage and their culture as they allowed the local students to experience their countries with their senses. The students exhibited their traditional clothing, showed off their posters with facts about their countries of origin and even some brought some spices and food for the students to smell and taste.

“This is an event that the students look forward to each year and in giving the International Students this sort of exposure, we are not only educating our local students but also giving the international students the chance to learn more about our own beautiful country,” said Kirk Randall, Northlink College Bellville Campus Manager.

Northlink College will be having another International Student Day later this year at the Tygerberg Campus.
