Northlink College honours education stalwart on 15-year celebrations

Northlink College inaugurated the new Melvyn Caroline Student Financial-Aid Centre as part of their 15 years’ celebrations that kicked-off in September 2017. This new student financial-aid centre was opened in honour of Melvyn Caroline, a stalwart in the education sector and former Northlink College Council Chair who passed way in 2015.

Caroline not only was the Northlink College Council Chair, but also the Director of the Metropole East Education District in Cape Town.

“The College extended a new wing from the funds that they have received from DHET for the sole purpose of assisting students and their parents with their application for financial-aid and career guidance” says Leon Beech, Northlink College Principal and CEO.

The official inauguration coincided with the 15-year anniversary celebrations of the College that also included a tree planting ceremony to symbolize the legacy that Northlink have left and will leave for future generations as well as growth and development of the institution throughout the years.

“Today we honour all those who have contributed to the development of our institution. They will include staff, students and the leaders that were responsible for the operations of the institution,” added Beech.
