College graduates are ready for industry

Neil Maggott, acting CEO and Shona Dent overall top achiever award winner.

On 24 May 2014, Northlink celebrated its, eleventh annual student award ceremony at the His People’s Church Centre, Goodwood. Two ceremonial sessions were held in one day, where over 1300 parents, industry representatives and many more observed 756 students being awarded for the successful completion of their studies.
Among Northlink’s special guests was, former Northlink student, Xander Meintjies (Theodore Jantjies) from the popular SABC 2 prime time soap opera television show, 7de Laan. Entertainment was provided by former Northlink Tourism student and Idols SA top 16 finalist Lee-Ron Malgas.
“I would like to congratulate all the students on successfully completing their courses. It is pleasing to see that another group of Northlink students will enter into the world of work and make a contribution to our country’s economy. We look forward to another record-breaking award ceremony in 2015,” said Neil Maggott, acting CEO of Northlink.”
The awards categories included certificates, diplomas, special awards and the CEO Top Achiever award. These awards were given to the graduates who have really shown outstanding academic performance throughout their course. Northlink College management capped the diploma students and Pearson Southern Africa handed over certificates to the students who obtained their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Performing Arts.
“We hope that this graduation proves the quality of Northlink and that we remain an institution of choice,” adds Neil Maggott.
