Siemens, the technology giant in Europe with its expanding footprint in the African Continent, is looking to make Northlink College Belhar Campus an accredited Siemens Training Centre. Delegates from Siemens South Africa, together with two delegates from Siemens Germany visited the Campus to gain a better understanding of the training that takes place at the campus and how Siemens can assist with improving the students’ learning experience.

“Today we would like to showcase that Northlink College is a partner with Siemens regarding technical vocational training and our visit here today is to understand the operations at the campus, in which fields the students are being trained and how Siemens can support you going forward,” says Nivesh Lutchman, Siemens South Africa.

The Siemens delegation visited the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Room which they assisted Belhar Campus with by equipping it with the latest PLC Components and equipment. The students studying Electrical Engineering has had the benefit of this upgrade.

“With Northlink College becoming the preferred Siemens Accredited provider in the Western Cape the graduates could become a talent pool for Siemens to source from in the future,” adds Nivesh
